A shocking and extremely serious incident of gang-rape has occurred near the Ashiana Shopping Centre in Dera Ismail Khan (D.I. Khan), a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The victim is a transgender person who belongs to Faisalabad.
According to details, the victim was allegedly tied up and subjected to gang-rape by four unknown individuals. Following the victim’s formal complaint, the police immediately registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the four unidentified culprits and initiated a prompt investigation.
Given the severity of the crime, the police have begun a manhunt and are conducting raids at various locations to apprehend the suspects. This horrific incident has raised serious questions about the overall security situation in the area, particularly concerning the safety and protection of vulnerable communities like the transgender population. Local citizens have expressed profound concern over the incident.
The police have appealed to the public to immediately provide any credible information they may have regarding the incident or the suspects. The transgender community has strongly condemned the act and demanded the swift arrest of those responsible.
In addition to this, some people in Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are attempting to expel the transgender community from the district or force them back to their ancestral homes—an act that is sheer oppression and injustice.
Simultaneously, a minor transgender person, who hails from Swat, is currently admitted in a government hospital. His teeth are broken and fractured spinal cord, putting him at risk of permanent disability.
Tragically, neither the transgender`s father, mother, brother, nor any close relative is willing to take responsibility for trans treatment.
