US Secretary of State Marc Rubio speaks with the Army Chief of Pakistan, Syed Asim Munir. He continued to urge both parties to find ways to de-escalate and offered U.S. assistance in starting constructive talks to avoid future conflicts.
Rubio also spoke with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The Foreign Minister makes it clear, “The Ball is now in India’s court. If India escalates, then Pakistan will not stop.”
They discussed the current situation in South Asia following Indian attacks on Pakistan and Pakistan’s response. The two leaders agreed to maintain close contact.
