Two Pakistani police officials were killed in a heavy exchange of fire with terrorists in the Lachi Nardar Banda area of Kohat district. Sub-Inspector Tahir Nawaz and Elite Force Constable Muhammad Ali were both killed in the gun battle, according to police sources.

The operation in the area began on Wednesday night and a large contingent of police remains deployed. The intense gunfire has caused widespread fear and panic among local residents.

This incident follows a similar engagement on the previous day in Karak, where two police constables sustained injuries in a confrontation with terrorists. The ongoing operation suggests a continuing threat from terrorist groups in the region.
