Two brothers heading father’s funeral among victims of Loralai attack

Among the victims of the terrorist attack targeting Punjab-origin passengers on Thursday were two brothers, Jabbar and Usman, from Duniyapur tehsil in Lodhran district, Punjab, who were traveling to attend their father’s funeral.

Other victims hailed from various cities in Punjab, including Lahore, Gujrat, Khanewal, Gujranwala, and Multan. Their names include Sabir Hussain (Kamonki, Gujranwala), Muhammad Asif (Chowk Qureshi, Dera Ghazi Khan), Ghulam Saeed (Khanewal), Muhammad Junaid (Lahore), Muhammad Bilal (Attock), and Bilawal (Gujrat).

The bodies have been transported to Dera Ghazi Khan and, on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, are being sent to their respective areas. Authorities will ensure delivery to their hometowns.

According to Dawn News, Assistant Commissioner Zhob, Naveed Alam, stated that eight victims have been identified, while the identity of one remains unknown as the terrorists took their documents.

The incident occurred on two coaches traveling from Quetta to Lahore. The banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for the attack. This incident adds to a series of attacks targeting individuals from Punjab in Balochistan.
