A high-level delegation from Turkey, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Defence Minister Yasar Güler, arrived in Pakistan on July 9, 2025.
The visit aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries, particularly in defence and security. Upon their arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, the ministers were greeted by officials from Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
They are scheduled to meet with key figures, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, to discuss various mutual interests.
This visit follows a history of strong ties between Pakistan and Turkey, built on shared values and cultural connections.
Key topics on the agenda include measures to boost defence collaboration, especially as Turkey has become a significant arms supplier to Pakistan.
Both nations are also expected to address broader issues, including regional security and the situation in Palestine, while reviewing outcomes from previous high-level meetings.
