Terrorists attacked the residence of a police official in the jurisdiction of Bannu district’s Hovid Police Station, opening fire and killing him on the spot. The officer was identified as Rafidullah.
Following the assault, the attackers abducted two of his nephews before fleeing. Police and security forces immediately sealed off the area and began a search to locate the attackers.
The body of the martyred official was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Bannu for post-mortem. An operation is underway to locate and arrest the perpetrators.
