Suicide bombing in Waziristan martyrs 13 soldiers

At least 13 soldiers were martyred in a suicide attack in North Waziristan on Saturday morning. At least 24 people have been injured in the attack including 14 civilians.

According to The Khorasan Diary, an Islamabad-based think tank and news outlet, the suicide bomber targeted mine-resistant ambush protected vehicle of the bomb disposal unit of the military in Khaddi, North Waziristan.

The incident took place around 7:45pm on Saturday. Curfew had been imposed in the area for military movement.

Those injured in the attack include women and children as well. The condition of some of the injured is said to be serious.

The responsibility for the attack has been claimed by the Usood ul Harab, a sub faction of the Hafiz Gul Bahadar Group.

According to The Khorasan Diary, the Huzaifa Ishthihadi Kandak, which is an off shoot of the same group for recruiting suicide attackers was also mentioned in the statement in which the claim was made.
