In a significant counter-terrorism action in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the security forces and Police successfully conducted a joint operation against the proscribed organization, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Following secret intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists, the joint operation in the sensitive areas of Pahar Khel Pakka, Sheri Khel, Langar Khel Pakka, and Ghazi Khel was personally led by Pakistan Army’s Brigadier Commander Haider Ali and District Police Officer (DPO) Lakki Marwat Nazir Khan.
During the operation, joint teams of the Pakistan Army and Police thoroughly searched and monitored the areas. Every suspicious location was meticulously scoured to completely eliminate the “Fitna al-Khawarij” (a term often used for insurgents).
Encouragement and Awards for Forces
After the operation concluded, DPO Nazir Khan and Brigadier Haider Ali met with the officers and soldiers present in the field. They encouraged them and distributed cash rewards.
On this occasion, Brigadier Haider Ali clearly stated that the elimination of anti-state elements is the foremost priority of the Pakistan army and Police.
DPO Nazir Khan lauded the resolve of his personnel, saying: “Lakki Marwat Police stands as the vanguard against terrorism. Pakistan Army and Police will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the protection of the public.
Subsequently, both high-ranking officials visited the Pezu, Shahbaz Khel, and Ghazni Khel police stations and distributed cash prizes and rations to the police officers and soldiers who demonstrated bravery during the operation. While addressing the participants, they stated that we will not allow the nefarious designs of the terrorists to succeed. The Pakistan Army and Police will collectively pursue them everywhere and will completely wipe out these terrorists from the Lakki Marwat district.
