Security forces and police conducted joint, intelligence-based operations in various areas of the Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The operations resulted in the deaths of a total of 10 terrorists during intense fire exchanges with the militants. These actions took place primarily in the Sheri Khel area and Nasarkhel, which falls under the Sarai Naurang Police Station limits.
According to local sources, a heavy clash erupted between security forces and terrorists in the Sheri Khel area of Lakki Marwat, leading to the neutralization of nine terrorists. Separately, the Lakki Marwat Police, supported by personnel from adjacent districts, carried out a joint operation in Nasarkhel, Dargah, and Akhundaan—areas within the Sarai Naurang Police Station’s jurisdiction. This secondary operation resulted in the killing of one additional terrorist.
Eight of the deceased terrorists have been identified. Their affiliations were traced to various localities: one each from Tajori, Paharkhel Pakka, Sheri Khel, Ghaati Machan Khel, KaaL Khel, and Tittarkhel. Additionally, two of the terrorists were stated to be from the Tank district.
However, the identities of two of the killed individuals are still pending. Following the day-long operations, security has been significantly tightened, and a search and clearance operation is ongoing, with the overall situation remaining tense in the affected areas.
