Saudi FM talks to Dar after Pakistani strikes in India

Following Pakistan’s missile strikes in India overnight in response to Indian aggression, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke today with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Faisal Bin Farhan.

Senator Dar briefed the Saudi Foreign Minister on the current regional situation, providing an account of the Indian attacks and Pakistan’s subsequent response.

In response, the Saudi Foreign Minister expressed condolences for the loss of innocent lives in the conflict. He also commended Pakistan for its measured and restrained response to the attacks.

Both Foreign Ministers agreed to maintain close communication in the coming days.

The call cam after US Secretary of State got in touch with General Asim Munir and FM Ishaq Dar to offer help in de-escalating the situation.
