Eleven employees of a private company were kidnapped in Dera Ismail Khan, according to police. Five of them have been rescued by the police, and search operations are ongoing for the remaining six.
D.I. Khan Police SP Ali Hamza told the media that during the rescue of the five individuals, security forces exchanged fire with the kidnappers, leading to their release.
He added that operations by the police and other security agencies have been ongoing since Wednesday to secure the release of the remaining six individuals.
According to the police, the kidnapped individuals were laborers and security guards of a private construction company, traveling toward Balochistan. The police have clarified that no government personnel were among those abducted.
The police have intensified their search operations and are hopeful of locating the remaining individuals soon.
