Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed to avenge the blood of martyrs, and time will not be able to heal wounds dealt to the enemy. He added that Pakistan’s response had once again proven the country’s superiority in conventional warfare.
“We proved last night that Pakistan knows how to deliver a befitting response in its defence. The nation pays tribute to the bravery and strength of the armed forces,” Shehbaz said in an address to the nation.
The PM addressed the nation at a time when India launched a series of attacks on Pakistani soil, killing 31 innocent civilians and injuring 46.
“There were children and women among the casualties. The funeral of a child was offered by the civil and military leadership of the country. He was only seven years old. He was just a child. The nation pays homage to all the martyrs, and we all are standing with their families,” said the PM
PM Shehbaz said that every drop of blood spilt in last night’s air strikes by India would be avenged. He also said that it took just a few hours for our enemy to surrender. Pakistan shot down five Indian jets, which were their pride, but now they have turned into ashes. He added that PAF’s response was reminiscent of Squadron Leader MM Alam’s exploits in 1965.
He also said that India might thought that Pakistan would take a step back, but they forgot that this is a brave nation of the brave.
“This enemy thought that they were powerful just by attacking unarmed civilians. But last night, Pakistan proved that we know how to give a befitting response. Today, the whole nation wants to applaud the bravery of our armed forces. The aerial faceoff between both nations at the Line of Control showed that Pakistan, while staying within its borders, displayed utmost professionalism,”
He lauded the military leadership and said that the nation is proud of the armed forces.
“Attack on Pakistan after Pahalgam without any evidence is just pointless. As a peace-loving nation, Pakistan offered a transparent and independent investigation of this incident, and the whole world was witnessed to that. But India broke all the international laws. According to international law, Kashmir is a disputed area, and peace will not come to Kashmir till the people decide for themselves. No matter if India takes hundreds of unilateral decisions,” he said.
