PM Shehbaz Heads to Saudi FII9 Summit to Spotlight Pakistan’s Investment Potential and Boost Bilateral Ties

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has left for Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on Monday. He will represent Pakistan at the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII9) conference. This visit is being made at the special invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, he is leading a high-level delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Atta Ullah Tarar, and the Prime Minister’s aides Tariq Fatemi and Bilal Bin Saqib.

Conference Theme and Objectives
The theme of FII9 is “Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth.” The conference will host leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators from around the world.

Discussions will focus on global challenges and opportunities, including innovation, sustainability, economic inclusion, and geopolitical changes.

Meetings with Saudi Leadership and Bilateral Relations
According to the Foreign Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold detailed talks with Saudi leadership during his visit. The aim is to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and human resources.

These meetings will also cover regional and global issues of mutual interest and concern.

Highlighting Investment Opportunities
During the summit, the Prime Minister will also meet with leaders from other countries and heads of international organizations. The Foreign Office stated that these exchanges will highlight Pakistan’s vast investment potential and showcase the country’s readiness for cooperation in sustainable development, following the “Think, Exchange, and Act” model.
