The Foreign Minister of the Interim Afghan Government met with the Special Representative of Pakistan and accompanied the delegation in Kabul.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan said in a statement that both sides discussed enhancing bilateral relations, political & economic relations and transit between the two countries.
The statement added that Amir Khan Mutaqi urged that obstacles in transit and trade sectors are not beneficial for anyone. The Foreign Minister Mutaqi also emphasised on gradual and dignified return of Afghan refugees to Afghanistan.
According to the statement, the Pakistan Special Representative Mohammad Sadiq Khan emphasized that security in Afghanistan is important for Pakistan and the entire region and pledged that Pakistan will take further steps to provide facilities for visas and trade for the Afghan people. He stated that they will take practical steps to solve the challenges in terms of trade and transit with Afghanistan.
The statement stated that both sides agreed to continue such visits and meetings to solve the problems between the two nations.
