Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the recent acts of provocation in the Pak-Afghan border areas, making it clear that every act of aggression from Afghanistan will be met with a full and effective response.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their strong and effective reaction and commended the Pakistan Army for professionally and resolutely defending the country’s borders.
He stated, “We are very proud of the professionalism of our Armed Forces.” He added that under the courageous leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistan Army not only delivered a crushing blow to the Afghan aggression but also destroyed several of their posts, forcing them to retreat.
The Prime Minister emphasized, “Pakistan’s defence will not be compromised. Every act of aggression will be met with a full and effective response.” He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s defence is in capable hands and that the nation knows how to protect every inch of its territory. He concluded that Pakistan’s Armed Forces have always delivered a decisive and crushing response to all forms of external aggression, and the entire nation stands united with its security forces.
Addressing the issue of cross-border terrorism, the Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan has repeatedly shared intelligence with Afghanistan regarding the presence of terrorist elements, such as ‘Fitna Al-Khawarij’ and ‘Fitna Al-Hind’, who are using Afghan soil to launch attacks against Pakistan.
The Prime Minister noted that “These terrorist organizations are supported by some elements present within Afghanistan.”
He concluded by stating that Pakistan expects the Afghan interim government to ensure that its soil is not used by terrorist groups to launch attacks against Pakistan.
