According to security sources, Afghan forces initiated unprovoked firing at multiple locations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The areas reportedly targeted include Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baramcha (Balochistan). Security sources suggest that the firing was intended to facilitate the infiltration of ‘Khawarij’ (terrorist) organizations from across the border.

Vigilant and alert posts of the Pakistan Army immediately launched a strong retaliatory strike against this aggression, which is still ongoing. According to security sources, the Pakistan Army used its full force in the operation, effectively targeting several Afghan forces’ posts.
Sources indicate that the timely Pakistani action resulted in the destruction of multiple Afghan border posts and the killing of dozens of Afghan soldiers and ‘Khawarij’. The sources added that the Taliban have abandoned several of their posts and fled, leaving their casualties scattered.

Security sources further noted that this act of aggression by Afghanistan comes at a time when the Afghan Foreign Minister is visiting India. This specific timing is being viewed as having a deliberate intention to escalate tensions.
