Trade Resumes: Angoor Ada Gate Finally Operational After Two Years

​The Angoor Ada Gate, located near the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan in the Lower South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had been closed for two years. Finally, it reopened officially for commercial activities on Tuesday. This significant decision is expected to give a new boost to cross-border trade, and the local population is hopeful for economic prosperity.

​Members of the National Assembly, Zubair Wazir, and the Deputy Commander of the Khumrang Brigade attended the reopening ceremony as special guests. The event was beautiful and historic, bringing together schoolchildren, religious scholars and a large number of tribal elders.

​Local political and social leaders said that the reopening of the Angoor Ada Gate will bring new light and hope to the trade relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, for the people living along the border.
