The number of soldiers martyred in India’s missile attacks on May 6 and 7 has risen to 13 after two more soldiers succumbed to the injuries.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the martyred soldiers include Havaldar Muhammad Naveed Shaheed of the Pakistan Army and Senior Technician Muhammad Ayaz Shaheed of the Pakistan Air Force.
“Their noble sacrifice stands as a timeless testament to their courage, devotion to duty, and unshakeable patriotism,” ISPR said.
“Their sacrifice will forever remain etched in the nation’s collective memory, inspiring generations to come,” the statement added.
ISPR had earlier said that 11 armed forces personnel and 40 civilians had been martyred in the attack. Another 78 soldiers and 121 civilians had been injured in the attacks as well.
Pakistan had launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos in response to the Indian aggression, attacking 26 military targets across India. After the operation, a ceasefire had been agreed between the two countries with the involvement of the United States.
