NSA Asim Malik attends SCO security meeting in Beijing

Pakistan’s National Security Adviser, Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik, attended the meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing, where he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace.

The NSA also reaffirmed Pakistan’s aim of upholding global peace and security and resolving conflict through dialogue.

Lt General Malik also spoke at the meeting about Pakistan’s commitment to peaceful coexistence and regional peace.

He also held meetings with senior Chinese officials on the sidelines of the SCO meeting.

Indian NSA Ajit Doval is also attending the meeting, where he spoke about ending double standards agains terrorism.

The meeting comes a month after a ceasefire was brokered between Pakistan and India after several days of hostilities after the Pahalgam attack. India had blamed Pakistan for the attack and launched missile strikes agains several Pakistani cities. In response, Pakistan had shot down six Indian jets and hit military sites in several cities in India.
