Almost six cities in Punjab and Ghotki in Sindh were targeted by unidentified Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVS) on Thursday morning during peak Pakistan–India tensions.

Walton and Barki road areas of Lahore, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Chakwal and Sheikhupura are included in the list of locations where Pakistani authorities shot down drones and debris were taken into custody.

Videos circulating on social media showed clouds of black smoke rising from a densely populated area in Lahore. People were seen coming out of their homes.

“A drone has been shot down in the Walton area of Lahore. We still have to gather the details,” confirmed an official.

According to SSP, one person was killed while two were injured in the drone attack in Ghotki.

Meanwhile, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot airport operations have been suspended temporarily.
