Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has strongly condemned recent statements made by Chief Minister Mahmood Afridi against the armed forces, saying such remarks undermine the morale of national institutions and threaten public safety.

In a statement, Governor Kundi said, “Our brave soldiers sacrifice their lives to protect the province,” and paid tribute to their dedication. He emphasized that questioning the intentions of the military weakens their morale and, ultimately, endangers public security.

The governor noted that intelligence-based military operations are conducted to protect citizens and restore peace in the province.

Governor Kundi specifically urged the Chief Minister to exercise restraint and help maintain national unity in the province.

He also called on all political forces to avoid using politics to weaken national security institutions. “All political parties should stand with the armed forces for lasting peace,” he said.

Regarding political differences, Governor Kundi stated that the public will make the ultimate decision on accountability in the upcoming elections, stressing that political matters should remain separate from national security issues.
