Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Turbat, Balochistan today, to review the security situation, assess development projects, and strengthen collaboration between military and civilian authorities, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations. The visit included meetings with Balochistan’s Chief Minister and Chief Secretary, along with other officials.
The COAS received a detailed briefing on the regional security landscape, including counter-terrorism operations against Fitna al Hindustan, and progress on various development initiatives aimed at improving socio-economic conditions in southern Balochistan.
Field Marshal Munir emphasized the importance of good governance, infrastructure development, and inclusive growth in his discussions with civilian leaders. He stressed the vital role of joint civil-military efforts in tackling the challenges facing the people of Balochistan and pledged continued support for development programs.
He reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Balochistan in their pursuit of peace, prosperity, and sustainable development. The COAS also took the opportunity to address troops, praising their high morale, readiness, and dedication to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Upon arrival in Turbat, Field Marshal Munir was welcomed by the Corps Commander Balochistan.
