Security Forces Neutralise 3 Wanted Terrorists in a Successful Kohat Operation

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Police successfully carried out a timely intelligence-based operation within the limits of the MRS Police Station in Kohat. A fierce exchange of fire took place, resulting in the deaths of three highly wanted and active terrorists.

​According to police sources, security forces began the action based on reliable intelligence. The terrorists opened fire first, and the forces retaliated, killing all three suspects.
​The deceased terrorists were identified as ​Muhammad Qasim (son of Khana Jan, resident of Dakh), Shahmad (son of Mashal Khan, resident of Dakh) and ​Sahir alias Pata (son of Naseem, resident of Tor Chappar, Darra Adam Khel)
​Sources confirmed that these three were linked to an active militant group operating out of Darra Adam Khel, led by Saad alias Shah Gul.

​Police reported that the neutralised terrorists were involved in and nominated in cases concerning several serious terrorist activities.

​All three suspects were named in First Information Report (FIR) No. 49 at MRS Police Station, Kohat, for the murder of Constable Younis. This case included charges under Sections 302 (Murder), 324 (Attempt to Murder), and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
​Additionally, the deceased terrorist Sahir alias Pata was named in FIR No. 54, which was registered for an attack on the Tor Chappar Post. Police stated that brave Constable Hazrat Umar was martyred in that attack. The charges in this specific case included murder, attempted murder, the Explosives Act, and Section 7 of the ATA.

​Security forces expressed their satisfaction over the successful operation and reaffirmed their commitment to continue operations against terrorists without any discrimination to ensure sustainable peace and order across the country. Sources called the successful action a clear testament to the national resolve against terrorism.
