The Government of Pakistan has strongly rejected claims by Indian media that Pakistani passports can now be used to travel to Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement calling the reports “baseless propaganda.”
Recently, some Indian media outlets falsely claimed that Pakistan had removed the clause in its passports preventing travel to Israel. Pakistani officials responded firmly, denying these claims.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that no such change has been made. The clause remains in effect, and the Director General of Passports confirmed that Pakistani passports still state they are valid “for all countries except Israel.”
The Ministry of Information also emphasized that Pakistan’s position on Israel is clear and firm. Pakistan has never recognized Israel and has no plans for any military or government cooperation with it in the future.
It is worth noting that the Directorate General of Passports has recently started printing new passport booklets. These include the option to list the mother’s name along with the father’s name. However, this update does not affect Pakistan’s policy regarding Israel.
