India to get ‘enduring grief’, ISPR says after missile attack

at 1:32 AM

India fired missiles on three different locations in Pakistan on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, Inter-Services Public Relations confirmed.

In a statement, DG ISPR Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that India had fired missiles on Subhanullah Mosque in Bahawalpur as well as in Muzaffarabad and Kotli in Azad Kashmir. He described the attack as ‘cowardly’.

“Let me say unequivocally, Pakistan will respond at a time and place of its choosing,” DG ISPR said. He added that the joy India felt at the attack would soon turn into ‘enduring grief’.

The DG added that PAF planes are airborne and had not allowed Indian planes to enter Pakistani airspace forcing the enemy to fire from its own territory.

Chaudhry added that the damage from the missiles was still being assessed and rescue teams are on their way.

The attack comes hours after Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that there was imminent threat of an Indian attack.

Security sources later said that one child had been martyred in the attack, and a man and woman seriously injured.
