Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir, has accused India of escalating its proxy war against Pakistan following a 19-day military conflict, dubbed “Marka-e-Haq,” which took place from April 22nd to May 10th.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the COAS made these remarks while addressing participants of the 16th National Workshop in Balochistan. the COAS strongly condemned India’s alleged support of terrorist proxies, describing it as a failed attempt to undermine the patriotism of the Baloch people.

He stated that India’s escalation of the proxy war, utilizing groups referred to as “Fitna-al-Khawarij” and “Fitna-al-Hindustan,” represents a form of hybrid warfare against Pakistan.

Field Marshal Munir warned that these proxies would face the same consequences as they did during “Marka-e-Haq. The COAS emphasized the indiscriminate nature of terrorism, transcending religious and ethnic boundaries.

He stressed the need for a unified national response and collective resolve to combat this threat. Reiterating the Pakistan Army’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and promoting socio-economic development in Balochistan for national cohesion, the COAS reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace while underscoring the nation’s readiness to decisively respond to any internal or external threats.
