Highly-wanted TTP commander killed in Karak

Security forces killed a highly-wanted terrorist affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in an operation in Karak on Sunday.

The forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Karak after which they found the body of Commander Kashif alias Muhair Jarrar Khattak in the Mardan Khel Teri area. Kashif was a senior leader of the TTP’s Kaleemullah Group.

His body was left behind by terrorists fleeing from the operation. At least two other TTP operatives were seriously injured in the operation and are suspected to have died.

Kashif was a highly-wanted terrorist and was suspected to be involved in several major terrorist incidents including the attacks on the FC Fort in Darga, Bahadur Khel check post and Mir Kalam police station among others.
