A high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif resolved to ‘expose’ those responsible for the attack on the Jaffar Express train.

The meeting, which included leaders from all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, focused on strengthening the national narrative under the National Action Plan.

Sources revealed that the meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s House, emphasized a zero-tolerance approach to unmasking the perpetrators of the Jaffar Express attack and presenting their actions to the world. A key focus was countering misinformation and propaganda on social media.

Participants, including military and civilian leadership, agreed to counter the anti-national campaign waged through traditional and digital media.  Efforts will focus on blocking content that undermines national unity and security.

Furthermore, the meeting stressed the importance of inter-provincial cooperation and collaboration to enhance national security and harmony.

The meeting also discussed plans to utilize film and drama to promote the national narrative, particularly among young people. It was decided that digital media will also play a crucial role in disseminating information and countering the negative societal impacts of terrorism and to include of terrorism awareness in the national curriculum was also decided upon.
