Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-led operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan District, on the night of February 6-7, 2025. The operation targeted militants reported to be operating in the area.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, three militants were killed during the engagement. Authorities reported the militants were attempting to escape disguised in women’s clothing (burqas). Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the scene.

The slain deceased militants were allegedly involved in various terrorist activities in the region. A follow-up operation is underway to ensure the area is secure.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR statement said.
