Security forces killed seven terrorists in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations, security forces conducted an operation based on intelligence reports in Daraban. The operation involved engaging a terrorist hideout, resulting in the death of four terrorists.

The security forces also engaged in an encounter with terrorists in Maddi, where another three terrorists were killed.

“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area,” ISPR added.

ISPR also said that sanitization operations were carried out to ensure no terrorists remained in the area.

Security forces had conducted  59,775 operations across the country last year, resulting in the death of 925 terrorists.
