Security forces killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan on Friday.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations, the operation was conducted in the Ghulam Khan Kalay area after receiving an intelligence report of presence of terrorists.
The forces ‘effectively engaged’ the terrorists, killing six of them.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous activities against the Security Forces as well as killing of innocent civilians,” ISPR added.
The statement added that sanitization operations were also carried out to find any other terrorists hiding in the area.
Earlier in the week, Pakistan Army had conducted a similar operation in Khyber district’s Bagh area, where 10 terrorists were killed.
