An intelligence-based operation in Mardan killed at least 20 terrorists on Friday.

The operation was conducted in the Katlang Mountains in Mardan, where a massive terrorist hideout had been reported.

In the operation, at least 12 militants were captured alive while the rest are presumed dead.

This follows four different IBOs in Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan earlier this week, where 11 terrorists had been killed.

According to an ISPR statement issued in December, security forces conducted 59,775 intelligence-based operations across the country in 2024. The operations resulted in the elimination of 925 terrorists.
