Two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were critically injured when unknown assailants opened fire on their vehicle in Bannu today. The driver and another FC soldier were rushed to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in Bannu. However, one of the soldiers, identified as Hashim, succumbed to his injuries.

The FC vehicle was traveling from City Kala to the Bannu FC Line when the incident occurred. Security forces and FC personnel have launched a search operation in the area following the attack.
