Eight people were injured in a hand grenade attack on a security forces checkpoint in Turbat, the main city of Balochistan’s Kech district. The incident occurred in the Sangani Sar area.
According to the Frontier Corps (FC) South, the attackers are believed to be affiliated with the militant group “Fitna-e-Hindustan.” Security personnel responded with immediate retaliatory fire, but the attackers managed to escape.
The eight injured individuals are residents of Sindh and Balochistan provinces. They include residents of Sanghar (Sindh), Mastung, Nal, Salalah Bazaar, and Sangani Sar in Turbat. All injured were immediately transported to the FC hospital and the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital for treatment.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation for the attackers. Further investigations are underway.
