A drone attack in Lakki Marwat claimed the life of at least five children while injuring another 12 people, according to police.

According to the First Information Report, the drone strike in Langar Khel, killed one child aged 8 or 9 years, while critically injuring another child aged 7 to 8 years. The report added that there was a danger of the death toll rising in the incident.

Police later confirmed that five children lost their lives in the incident, while 12 people were injured.

In a separate incident, a man lost his life and two women were injured when a mortar shell landed on a house in Lakki Marwat’s Sheikha Khel village.

The victims have been identified as Azizullah, Khanzada Bibi, Razia Bibi. The dead and injured have been shifted to City Hospital.
