Inter-Services Public Relations revealed evidence of an Indian terrorist network operating in Pakistan Tuesday. The evidence involved names of serving Indian military officials who were coordinating with terrorists.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that despite seven days having passed since the Pahalgam incident, India has not provided a shred of terrorism against Pakistan. However, he added that there was irrefutable evidence of an Indian state sponsored terrorist network in Pakistan.

The DG said that an Indian-trained terrorist Abdul Majeed was arrested from Jhelum Bus Stand on April 25. A 2.5 kg bomb was recovered from Majeed as well as two mobile phones and Rs70,000.

Investigation revealed that Majeed had an Indian-origin drone and Rs1 million at his home.

The DG also played audio recordings of the apprehended terrorist with his Indian handlers as well WhatsApp chats showing detailed contact. He also played an instruction video showing how to assemble an IED. The call recordings revealed the alleged handler asking for ‘civilian casualties’.

The details showed that IEDs would be dropped at a location which would then be shared with the terrorist by the handlers. After the IED was used in an attack, Majeed would be paid an amount by the handlers in India which were as high as Rs180,000 in many cases. At least four such attacks were arranged. The fourth attack was supposed to take place in Jhelum, when Majeed was arrested.

The IEDs were dropped in several areas in Azad Kashmir including Bhimber and Nadala. In Kotli, a bag containing IEDs was discovered before it could be recovered by the terrorist.

The DG added that after the Pahalgam attack, all Indian cells have been told to ‘increase’ their attacks in Pakistan. He added that the largest ever fighting unit of Fitna Al-Khwarij had been killed in Waziristan a few days ago, which was part of the same state-sponsored terrorism.
