Defending Two Fronts: Pakistan’s War against Indian Aggression and their Terrorist Proxies

at 6:37 PM

In late April, Pakistan was in a risky situation as India started aggression at the Eastern border. India launched a missile attack that was an obvious violation of humanitarian and international law. Their attacks include civilian spaces, comprising homes and mosques. The attacks aimed to create fear and terror among the Pakistani public. Indian intentions were focused to disrupt the nation’s spirits and check Pakistan determination. As India fired across the border, Pakistan’s military, with willpower and competence, retorted inthe protection of its citizens. The country remained integrated and resolute in its obligation to defend its sovereignty and uprightness.

At the same time, additional risk developed inside the country. As Pakistan was focused on Indian hostilities and aggression, terrorists attempted to exploit the scenario by infiltrating North Waziristan from Afghanistan. From April 25 to 28, Pakistan security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation which led to the eradication of 71 militants—54 of them in the early clash and 17 more in succeeding incursions. These extremists were loaded with weapons and explosives to destabilise the Pakistan from inside as the military was preoccupied with India. It was an attempt by terrorists to strengthen India and disrupt the Pakistan focus towards it. They are not working for Islam but to disrupt Pakistan at the time of national vulnerability.

On May 9, 2025, terrorists launched another attack targeting the check post at Shakai, in South Waziristan. The attack follows the martyrdom of nine soldiers, with five other soldiers wounded. It was not just a terrorist attack but an effort to dampen the military determination and emphasis in the serious situation for nation. It was a deliberate attempt by terrorists to distract the forces from the larger cause of securing Pakistan against the foreign threats. Two days later, on May 11, a new act of extremism rocked Pakistan when a suicide bomber targeted a police patrol in Peshawar, near the livestock market on Ring Road. Sub-Inspector Laiq Zada Khan and Constable Alamzeb were martyred, and numerous other civilians were wounded. This was one more incident aimed at bleeding the nation inside, producing further anarchy while Pakistan’s military was strained thin across the eastern border and its internal security trials.

Pakistan forces retorted with brilliant discipline and professionalism to both Indian and terrorist aggression. They were focused on eastern border where Indian forces continue their agitations, concurrently addressing the internal intimidations modelled by terrorists. Pakistan forces through their careful and vigilant actions protected the border as well as neutralized the insurgent attempting to destabilize the country internally. The accomplishment of these operations is a demonstration of the military’s capability to guard Pakistan on two frontages, one against an exterior enemy and the other against internal betrayal.

These attacks unmasked the real nature of the terrorists. They never stood against India, but were killing and targeting civilians and soldiers during a time of crisis. They target the very soldiers who put their lives at risk to defend Pakistan. They claim to be struggling for Islam; instead, they were playing into the hands of actors seeking to destabilise and weaken Pakistan. The loyalty of these terrorists was not with civilians and the faith they entitle but with disorder and devastation. Their actions clarify that it is the terrorists who are continuously working to disturb the peace and assist the agendas that want to harm the nation.

In the face of these two concurrent intimidations, Pakistan’s military rose to the occasion. The country’s determination was unshaken. The people remained integrated. And in spite of the labors of external and internal antagonists to disseminate fear, Pakistan stood tall. The military’s capability to deal efficiently with both India’s hostility and the internal disruption caused by terrorists confirmed not only the strength of Pakistan’s armed forces but also the resilience of its people. The nation and forces have revealed that no matter the challenge, whether from across the border or from inside, Pakistan will endure unbroken, equipped to face any hardship and emerge successful.
