Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting with top administrative officials to address law and order and service delivery issues within the province. He also ordered that people involved in anti-state activities including government employees should be held accountable.

The meeting, held in Quetta, included the Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, and secretaries from various departments including home, education, health, and finance.  All divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners, DIGs, and district police officers participated via video link.

The meeting began with prayers for personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.  Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the current security situation and service delivery challenges.

A key decision was made to take strict action against government employees involved in anti-state propaganda and activities. All commissioners and district officers were instructed to initiate proceedings against such individuals. Furthermore, it was decided that anti-state elements at the district level will be included in the Fourth Schedule to monitor their activities.

Bugti issued directives mandating the recitation of the national anthem and the hoisting of the national flag in every educational institution across Balochistan. He warned that heads of institutions failing to comply will face removal from their posts. He stressed that adherence to government directives is a fundamental part of every government officer’s duty.

The Chief Minister reiterated that maintaining law and order is the top priority, and no highways will be allowed to remain blocked. He held each district officer accountable for establishing the writ of the state in their respective areas. He framed the fight against terrorism as a collective responsibility, requiring the cooperation of every institution and individual.

He emphasized that government policy must be implemented effectively, with field officers responsible for execution. He further stated that individual opinions cannot supersede state policy, and any officer unable to implement government policy should resign voluntarily.

Bugti also warned against any form of extortion at checkpoints, stating that any confirmed complaints will result in the dismissal of the responsible SHO or Levies officer.  He stressed the importance of upholding the constitutional oath and resisting pressure from anti-state elements. He directed district officers to actively promote government policies through public engagement and gatherings.
