Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has criticized the Taliban government in Afghanistan, stating that its failure to uphold its promises is a major source of regional instability. He urged the Afghan interim government to honor the commitments made in the Doha Agreement.

Speaking at a conference organised by the Islambad Policy Research Institute, Bilawal highlighted the global nature of terrorism and acknowledged Pakistan’s significant human and financial losses in the fight against it. He emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, citing the effectiveness of operations like Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad in crippling terrorist organizations. He also noted the challenge posed by digital propaganda in the modern era.

Bilawal asserted that Pakistan has never invited terrorism but has consistently fought against it. He underscored Pakistan’s unwavering resolve, stating that surrender is not an option. He appealed to the international community to respect Pakistan’s sacrifices and commitment.

He further called upon India to learn from Pakistan’s experience in combating terrorism and expressed Pakistan’s willingness to collaborate with India on counter-terrorism efforts. He proposed discussions on Kashmir, water disputes, and terrorism.

Reiterating his earlier point, Bilawal concluded that the Taliban government’s broken promises are destabilizing the region and urged the Afghan interim government to adhere to the agreements made in Doha.
