Balochistan Chief Minister Announces Committee to Promote Interfaith Harmony

​ Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the formation of a special committee and other measures to foster interfaith harmony and unity in the province. He made the announcement while speaking at the “Balochistan Interfaith Harmony Seminar” in Quetta on Tuesday.

​Chief Minister Bugti, stated that the provincial government is committed to strengthening brotherhood and national unity among different religious communities.

​The seminar was attended by a number of prominent figures, including Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Commander of Balochistan Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmad Khan, Senator Danesh Kumar, and Members of the National Assembly Ramesh Lal and Darshan Lal. Provincial ministers, assembly members, and representatives of various religions were also present. Participants praised Operation Bunyaan-ul-Marsoos, calling it a historic step that paved the way for peace and stability in the country.

​During his address, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the formation of a special committee to swiftly address the issues faced by minority communities. He said a robust system would be established to resolve their problems. He also vowed that any illegal occupation of a place of worship would be returned to its community within 24 hours.

​Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail remarked that peace and development are not possible without national unity and that the government is working to achieve this goal.

​Seminar participants praised the Balochistan government’s initiatives, saying that such events would increase brotherhood in society and create a strong statement against terrorism. At the conclusion of the seminar, participants pledged to further strengthen interfaith harmony and presented several recommendations on the matter.
