The Bajaur district administration has declared Tarkho village in Mamund tehsil completely cleared and secure following a successful operation by security forces. A press release issued by the administration stated that Tarkhu is now fully under administrative control and normal life has been restored.

The administration commended the patience, resilience, and sacrifices of the people of Tarkho, assuring them that the safe and dignified return of all displaced families will be ensured. Residents have been informed they can return to their homes and resume their peaceful lives, with the state providing full security and support during this transition.

The administration further announced that the phased and organized return of displaced families from other affected areas will begin soon, in consultation with the local population. This process will be carefully managed to ensure the safety and well-being of all returning residents.
