Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have successfully thwarted an attempted infiltration across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Mohmand district.

According to local sources, the security forces engaged the infiltrators as they attempted to enter Pakistani territory. A heavy exchange of fire ensued, forcing the infiltrators to retreat.

Following the incident, a large-scale search operation is underway to prevent further attempts at infiltration and secure the area.

Security officials have confirmed that the border remains on high alert and that they are fully prepared to respond to any further threats.
