A group of terrorists attempted to attack a Pakistani security forces post in the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah District, Balochistan, during the night of January 27-28, 2025. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces successfully repelled the attack.

The terrorists attempted to breach the post using a vehicle laden with explosives. However, a fierce firefight ensued, resulting in the deaths of all five terrorists, including two suicide bombers.

Despite successfully repelling the attack, the ISPR reported that two Pakistani soldiers, Naik Tahir Khan and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal, were killed during the intense exchange of fire.

A subsequent sanitization operation was conducted in the area to eliminate any remaining threat. The ISPR stated that those responsible for the attack will be brought to justice. The military reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating terrorism and stated that the sacrifices of these soldiers strengthen their resolve.

On the other hand, forces also conducted an intelligence-based operation in Jani Khel in district Bannu on Monday. The operation resulted in the killings of three terrorists while nine others were injured.
