Instead of launching a large-scale kinetic operation, the military has vowed to continue the small-scale intelligence-based operations in Balochistan after the death toll from the Khuzdar attack rose to eight.

On May 21, a school bus was targeted by terrorists in Khuzdar, Balochistan, in which six children and two adults lost their lives.

While speaking to the media on Friday, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif said that intelligence-based operations will continue.

In a joint press briefing, Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha Sharif said that India is “planning and orchestrating” the attacks in Pakistan using its terrorism proxies in the restive province.

Lt. Gen. Sharif said that intelligence-based operations are a very effective way of dealing with the terrorists in remote areas.
