Security forces have killed another 17 terrorists in a sanitization operation in North Waziristan, a day after 54 terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation in the same area.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the sanitization operation was conducted on the night between Sunday and Monday in Hassan Khel, North Waziristan along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
“During the conduct of the operation, seventeen more khwarij, who were operating on behest of their Indian masters, were hunted down and successfully neutralized,” ISPR said.
“The number of khwarij killed in three days operation has risen to seventy one,” ISPR added. A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists.
“The Security Forces remain committed to secure the nation’s frontiers and thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Pakistan,” ISPR said.
Security forces had killed 54 terrorists in in an IBO Hassan Khel between Friday and Sunday. ISPR had added that the terrorists were trying to infiltrate Pakistan on the behest of their foreign masters.
