The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Balochistan has intensified its 2025 Cannabis Eradication Campaign as part of its mission to make the province free from drugs. Since the start of the campaign and up to November 1, the ANF has successfully destroyed cannabis crops spread over 2,495 acres across different parts of Balochistan.
According to an ANF report, in just one day of operations, the force eradicated 145 acres of cannabis and 10 acres of hybrid poppy (opium).
Significant progress has been made under this campaign, with operations conducted in several districts of Balochistan. As per details, cannabis and hybrid poppy crops were destroyed over 208.2 acres in Loralai, 94 acres in Pishin, 25 acres in Chaman, 30 acres in Kalat, 242 acres in Killa Abdullah, and 6.8 acres in Duki.
Killa Abdullah district remained the main focus of the campaign, where 145 acres of cannabis were destroyed in a single day. With this latest operation, the total cleared area in the district has reached 1,889 acres. According to security sources, ANF teams completely destroyed crops on 125 acres, while due to water shortages, 20 acres could only be partially cleared.
The ANF has also registered FIRs against individuals involved in illegal cultivation in Chaman, Pishin, and Killa Abdullah, demonstrating its strong commitment to law enforcement.
The ANF stated that these actions are part of a province-wide strategy to combat drug production and smuggling, ensure the complete elimination of illegal cultivation, and protect communities from the destructive impact of narcotics.
