A confidential document purportedly detailing a false flag operation in Pahalgam, orchestrated by India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), has surfaced on the Telegram messaging app, sources revealed Thursday. The document, titled “Psy Ops” and “Narrative Control,” allegedly outlines a plan to frame Pakistan for an attack, timed to coincide with U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s visit to India.

The leaked document reportedly provides specific instructions for manipulating public opinion and international perceptions. It details plans to deploy RAW operatives disguised as tourist monitors in Anantnag district, the intended location of the operation.

The attack was to be followed by the creation of AI-generated witness statements and manipulated visuals using blurred footage.  A coordinated misinformation campaign, utilizing over 200 social media accounts and deliberately avoiding a central hashtag to hinder detection, was also planned.

The document further reveals a strategy to implicate Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) by planting fabricated documents near the attack site and strategically leaking them. This, according to the document, aimed to shift global focus from the Kashmir conflict to a broader alleged Islamic conspiracy.

The planned media narrative, to be rolled out 36 hours after the event, was to portray the incident as an attack on the Indian state and its non-Muslim population.  However, premature media reports blaming Pakistan disrupted this timeline, exposing inconsistencies within the operation.

The document also includes a contingency plan, codenamed “INDOPACOM,” to be activated in Shopian if the Pahalgam operation was compromised. This plan, along with instructions to limit Indian military movements across the Line of Control (LoC) to 1.2 kilometers, aimed to prevent any significant Pakistani advancement that could trigger UN or Chinese intervention and undermine India’s claims in the region.

The Pahalgam attack which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists has raised tensions between Indian and Pakistan. India has given its armed forces operational freedom to act against Pakistan, while Pakistan has also carried out major military drills.
