Security forces and law enforcement agencies killed four terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Swat on Friday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the operation was jointly conducted after receiving a tip-off about the terrorists.
During the engagement, four terrorists were eliminated. No casualties among the security forces were reported.
A large cache of weapons and ammunitions was also recovered from the terrorists, according to the ISPR.
“Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area,” ISPR added.
March was the deadliest month in terms of terrorism since 2015. According to a recent report, a total of 105 militant attacks were reported across the country while operations were also intensified against them. A total of 171 terrorists were killed in March while 86 security officials and 78 civilians lost their lives.
