Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, a district leader of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam, was injured when a bomb went off in a mosque at Azam Warsak road, South Waziristan Lower, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The bomb went off during Friday prayers at the Maulana Abdul Aziz mosque, near the mehrab.
At least two other people were also injured in the blast who have been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana.
Nadeem was attacked in July last year as well but had survived.
This is the third attack on mosques in the the province in less than a month. On February 28, a bomb had exploded during Friday prayers in Darul Uloom Haqqania, killing Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq. Then, a mosque had been targeted in the Bannu Cantonment attack on March 5.
