Security forces killed 10 terrorists in an intelligence based operation in Khyber district on Monday night.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the operation was conducted after a report was received about a terrorist hideout in Khyber’s Bagh area. ISPR said that forces ‘effectively engaged’ the terrorist hideout.

The ISPR statement did not report any losses to armed forces personnel.

“Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the statement added.

Pakistan conducted nearly 60,000 IBOs in 2024, resulting in the elimination of 925 terrorists. However, the year was still the deadliest in a decade, with over 1,600 deaths.
